Bar Codes: The Thrill Is Gone

If you’ve been wondering at all about the bar code that has been showing up on the GOOGLE home page, it’s in celebration of the 57th anniversary of the bar code.
I can remember what an amazing thing it was when it first started showing up across the country.

There’s also a great link to another site that shows you how to figure out the bar code, what the numbers mean, how things are categorized, really geek stuff. But, still fascinating.
